The Blender Universe (BU) is an asset library that contains 3D models, materials, geometry node setups, particle systems, and eventually much more. With BU, we aim to equip and train the next generation of digital artists. By providing an easy way to drag and drop all kinds of objects and systems, artists will get a more efficient workflow and a lower threshold to start using Blender. There's nothing as easy as creating a full scene with simple drags and drops, after all.  Next to the drag-and-drop objects and systems, we included a high level of customization. Dermis is a skin-focused multi-level SSS shader for Blender, inspired by Anders Langland’s multi-level SSS shader for Arnold 4. It affords the user more nuanced and intuitive control over skin tones and a more overall natural look to scattering colour and depth, as well as being more physically realistic (real skin can also be broken down into 3 "layers" that contribute differently to SSS).    The shader is built with Cycles in mind, but works for Eevee too - although it might be overkill! (Eevee can only use one SSS lobe at once, so all Dermis really gives you for Eevee is better skin tone control). It's also built with scans in mind, both whole models and textures from sites like texturing.xyz. Please keep in mind that it's just a material, and nothing procedural, it's built to work with scanned skin textures.

Crafted and created over the past decade, this collection includes my favourite high end cinema LUTs that I've been using for all our professional documentary and commercial films.   This LUT package includes 16 unique LUTs designed for both Sony, Canon and LOG based cinema and mirroless cameras. There are also LUTs specifically for Canon C LOG or Sony S LOG to get the most out of those cameras color science.   These LUTs are the exact files that I use on a daily basis. These LUTs elevate skin tones, add depth and contrast to lighting and breath a punchy yet sublte and cinematic colour pallete to across the overall image without pushing it to just teal and orange.  These files are very personal to me. I'm so excited to finally release them to the cinema world for filmmakers to enjoy.
